just got back from the land of smiles...
& figured i should blog this
while everything is still vivid in my mind!!!

arrrrrrrrrrrh!
this bkk trip is probably the BEST EVER trip
i took in my life!
laughed so much,
partied like crazy,
DRANK CONSECUTIVELY SHITLOADS
OF VODKA + WHISKY FOR 4 NIGHTS IN A ROW!

played the horniest "have you ever",
relieved our 1990s techno dances,
came up with our bkk theme song,
ate like helllllllllllllllll..................
slept less than 12 hours across all 4 days &
had an awesome pawsome boutique hotel!

jumped into the freezing hotel pool @ 3am
when everyone else was sleeping...
ate 100baht chicken wings
& drank loads of alcohol to keep ourselves warm
while shivering & chatting in the cold!

indeed!
all the crazy shiet we did in bkk,
those will be the (legendary) BEST MEMORIES!!!

take me to a farmstay in new zealand!

NYE WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
so glad we booked a room,
the view was amazing,
the company was fantastic...
everything was just perfect!
definitely a great start to twenty-eleven!

went to church on sunday
to start the year off right!
& i'm so glad i did as well.
was so moved by the message...
must always remind myself,
that 2011 will be dripping with abundance,
& God will always be providing with the best!
so proud to be a new creation!

so we were @ suntec watsons
& i was doing my rounds
looking at all the displays for my new launch.

was taking pix for my archiving when...

really glad he's supportive of me.
especially when both of us are super busy,
it really means alot when he does
(stupid & funny) things like that! hah!

since i'm @ my 1st project,
i mentioned i was gonna share more
about the activation event with this launch!
to kick off 2011,

xiaxue & kaykay to trudge the streets of orchard road,
& get ladies to try our new long extreme stiletto mascara!

its gonna be really funny i know
cuz both of them have so much chemistry,
& it'll be really funny to see them battle it out!

my 1st ever tv production project...
super excited!

for daikor's cheenapiang wedding in jan...

honestly, been so busy i have no time
to even design my own photo collages!
so in 1 hr, i came up with 3 random designs!

not entirely the best i know,

lao liao.... by the time guetta came out @ 5am,
i was totally lao-honged.

but i totally enjoyed the drinks @ our pre party!
by the time we came down @ 10pm,
we were bouncing around like happy bunnies!

we bought a bottle of jagameister...
so in order to concoct our jagabombs,
we needed redbull right?

it was really quite a fun time
preparing all the props we were gonna need!

we were making so much noise @ 5am,
when they came to pick the bride,

can you all just shut the f*** up!"

japan's highest mountain that is!

when we first got up to the viewing station...

can you even spot anything behind us?

there was basically nothing but clouds!

then when we took the lake cruise,

we caught a tiny glimpse of the mountain top...
not too bad i suppose...?
at least we... saw something!

somewhat disheartened,
after having to travel for a few hours
to see clouds, we called it a day.
went for dinner somewhere en route back
the mt fuji bus station before heading home.

so finally @ 5pm,
while we were walking towards the bus station
to leave the area,
airlax looked up & exclaimed innocently:
"is that mount fuji???"

twas almost dark,
but YES!
we could still see a full & clear view of mount fuji!

although we were freezing
with the temperature @ 4.9°C...
& although in this pic,
the view is somewhat blocked
by all the little houses & telephone lines,
trust me, its more breathtaking
than what the pictures capture...

BRAVO!

p.s. airlax says i saw mt fuji becuz he's my lucky charm...
the last time i came to tokyo 2 years back,
i saw a cloudy mt fuji.
so.... yeah i guess! haha!

but today on the bus to mount fuji,
while we were sleeping,

& i don't really know how to explain it...
but to me,
i like how unknowingly,

my brother being the ever intellectual & poetic chef,
made a wedding cookbook as his wedding favor.

inside there were different love poems
to as an opener to each section of their love story,
accompanied by such recipes .
e.g. when they first met, there was an english poem,
then when they got engaged, a french amor poem,
then when they marry, a chinese poem,
blahblah you get the drift.

so there's suppose to be 5 different people
to read the 5 different poems...
& of course yours truly kenna the cheenapiang one.

so since meiji-jingu shrine was 5min away
from the heart of harajuku,
we thought... why not?

on a sidenote, i'm really interested in all these
religion & culture stuff...
there was a reason why i did a shared major
in south asian (aka indian studies! haha!)
while i was in nus!

i really wanted to learn more about japan's religion
but i think when they offered the module
i was going to be away in the states for exchange...
so i missed the boat! :(
such is life! pffffft.

in any case, we were lucky to be able to see
some japanese wedding processions going on...
super elaborate!
maybe i should go borrow a book
on all these traditions & bring it to the states to read!

didn't manage to capture a clear shot of mama turtle...
we weren't allowed to use a flash,
for fear it might blind the poor turtle,
hence am putting up pix of just the lil' babies!

after laying its eggs,
i think the turtle was so traumatised by the 100 onlookers,
it couldn't even find its way back...

the turtle rangers had to slowly guide it back to the ocean.
sigh so poor thing...
i don't understand how anyone can bear
to steal the turtle eggs or kill the animal
to make goddamn turtle soup.
there should be poison in it so noone can drink it anymore.

pity we didn't manage to see the fireflies as well...
cuz apparently it wasn't the season.
boyfriend says we're going back next year

super funny cuz my colleagues really thought
he was gonna propose during our kuantan getaway!

anyways - the conclusion 3 days + 2 nights later...
NO! HE DIDN'T PROPOSE! haha!
& no there's no big diamond rock k!
what there was though,
was something waaaaaay more valuable
than a diamond ring i would say...!
that my frens, is a turtle egg!

it was really interesting to see the whole process
of the mama turtle laying its eggs...
we even managed to release baby turtles into the sea!
haha & we christened our turtles:
TORTOISE ONE & TORTOISE TWO
(pronounced TOR-TOYS)
so innovative & creative hor? heh.

the tour guide told us only 1 out of 8,000 turtles
will live up to 20 yrs old to lay eggs.
that's a really sad statistic. :(

i think kuantan was an experience of a lifetime,
that everyone should go try!
20 years later, i'll wanna bring my kiddos here
to give them a similar experience
& educate them about wildlife!

went for bonitochico's birthday bash @ zirca,

over to the glam in like 15 mins!

when avril & me went backstage to do the makeup...

there were so many things to worry about k!
initially my plan almost failed

lucky i googled... & thanks to this website
i managed to get last minute tix @ no extra costs!

also, thank God the weather held up...
i was so worried that it would rain,

a pity not all the rides were functioning though,

the dearest baby boy turns 26 this weekend.
in case you're wondering...
YES! i'm a year older than him!

& so, the birthday weekend part 01 started off
with the r&b king's concert!
we're both big fans of jay - his songs are DA BOMB!
so what better than to give him tix for the concert?
once again thanks to ally,
who helped me preorder the tix from i dunno who...?
anyways main point is....
the seats were MARVELITO (actually means marvelous. hur)!

i totally appreciate the fact that it was unobstructed
we only had the railings in front of us...
& we were very near the stage too!

alex & me were just 'reminiscing'...
2 or 3 years back when jay came,
i was still with my then boyfriend...
alex knew i was going, so he called me that day -
BUT I DON'T DARE TO ANSWER HIS CALL!
otherwise i sure kenna up down left right!

what's more i remember,
i wanted so much to sing & scream like a crazy fan,
but i couldn't!
i had to restrain myself & be all prim & proper

yep so i'm in bangkok now...
smack right in the centre
of where all the Red Shirts action is.

we were initially hesitant about where to stay,
but decided. HECK IT LA!
so here we are at amari watergate.
we've got bird's eye view of the blocked area
& every single minute of the day,
i can hear the campaign "live" from my hotel room!

boyfriend & me just came back from siam square...
wanted to head over to my fave' massage place,
but it was closed!
along the way we walked by the side of the camp,
it was unintentional!
just that we saw there were street stalls along the road,
so we kaypo go and shop
& shun bian check out 'wat goes on inside'.

i was actually quite scared!
my heart was beating really fast...!
but all was well.
i guess nobody will chap you

since 1st may falls on a sat,
we're compensated with an off-in-lieu on 3rd may.

4th may is our dnd & its sorta half day for us
since there's early dismissal @ 4pm!

5th may - everyone will be half awake in the AM,
(since there's gonna be free flow drinks till 2am...)
& i somewhat suppose we're gonna
really start out engine in the PM!

6th may i'll be heading off to the land of smiles!
i know its not advisable blahblahblah,
but let's just say i'm going to go bangkok in faith...
cuz i'm blessed with God's grace okay!
he will shield me with his eagles' wings! hehe

so technically, its a 1/2 day work on tues,
1/2 day work on wed,
equals to 1 day work week this week...

anyways as i was saying... my dnd...

am gonna re-wear last year's halloween outfit.
i know its abit cheapoooooo,
& i did try going to #1 costume
to look for something different,
but i figured my getup last year is super apt
for the theme this year la...
so aiyah heck the repetition,
& save the $$$ for my bangkok getaway!
rent 1 costume is like $60 buckaroos lei!

think its gonna be a very different
& exciting dnd this year!
1stly: its @ zirca
(different from the normal hotel dnds we have),

2ndly: free flow booze all the way till 2am

3rdly: the 1st prize is a trip to vegas baby! WOOHOO!

4thly: guess who's the emcee for the night!

& it was such a great night in more ways than one!

finally the vip visit is over!
everything went very well,

in the midst of the chaos last week,
guess who decides to release tix for his concert?
yes yes the man we've all been waiting for!
after 2 long years! jay chou is coming again!

i can't believe i only found out about his concert
like 1 day before ticket sales open lor...
i'm normally quite updated! this time... DUNNO WHY!
so thanks to prisci who reminded me,
& also to ask if i have lobangs! haha!

so we're settling for the 23rd one...

so the weekend was packed with activities!
boonie turns 27, & the gurlies met up for a good dinner
before partying @ my favourite haunt!

xiaos's recommendation was a brilliant one!
dinner was gooooooood....

btw i think my butter bill for drinks is crazy.
i've been spending so much there its not funny!!!

so saturday was work for me...
we were gonna reveal the 2010 beauty innovation!
it was fun taking all the polaroids after!

i remember jamie was taking this polaroid for us,
then as usual he forever must say something:
"WAH! PERFECT ANGLE, PERFECT PHOTOGRAPHER,
BUT THE MODELS IN THE SHOT NOT PERFECT!"
then while i shot him the look,
suddenly cynthia koh from the side laughed & went:
(i was totally oblivious of my surroundings!)
"AIYOH SO BAD LA YOUR FRIEND!"
something like that la, it was bloody funny.

with my zone in paris!

i love approvals!
& i love them even more so now,
because these approvals
are really for my very own ideas & concepts...

i love how this job
allows me to stretch & think
over the boundaries, to be more creative...

i think this is what really helps
& makes a person grow in their career development.
heh. now i feel super motivated!

i miss my long hair.
thinking if i should get hair extensions.......

everyone's been coughing like crazy these days,
& i've fallen prey to it too!

so it was a short week...
& i was really excited for friday to come.
reason cuz it was time for..............

kate invited a few of the mj bloggers too,
& i had the privilege of sitting beside the 2 chiobus!
it was nice catching up with corde & bea...
we couldn't stop chatting thruout the wedding!
